A detailer gave me some paste polish called...

Seapower metal polish

Applications
Removes oxidation from Aluminum Magnesium, Copper, Brass, Chrome, Bronze, Stainless, Steel.
Removes Scratches from plastics, plexi-glass and lexan.

This stuff worked great after a car wash oxidized the forged anodized wheels on my 944 Turbo S. A little rubbing with this stuff and I didn't need to have them re-anodized!!! Also took ALL the scratches from the instrument plastic, and my watch crystal too!

THANK YOU!

Someone else had recommended this stuff to me too, but I immediately forgot what the stuff was. Every time I go by a marine supply store (which is often in the Chesapeake Bay area) I ask my wife what it is I'm supposed to be buying at the darn place. I know it's something, but I can't remember. She keeps saying "what are you asking me for?"

Thanks a million.

MESA polish in a silver tube does a great job on clear plastic and metal also. I have used it to recondition my instrument cluster and other various parts that needed scratches polished out and tarnish removed.

Check your local hobby store. They may sell a product that is used to polish the small scratches..scuffs. found in windshileds and canopys of plastic model kits. I have used it on models (can't recall the name of it) and it works great!!
