Valve Cover Removal

Man is it a pain!!!! They are called , "cam towers" because they enclose the entire cam in a housing with out any hardware. After you pull the whole front your engine apart (ps pump, timing belt, air pump, ac pump, radiator plastic , radiator hoses off, and other stuff) then you unbolt the cam towers. They come off and the gasket is baked on to the head. (If it is stuck to the cam tower you are very lucky!!!!!) Spend the next 6 hours scraping, breaking razor blades, and busting your back to get the gasket off the heads. If you pull the heads, then it is pretty easy. After the gasket is removed, then assembly is pretty easy. After washing out all scraps of gasket out of the valve spring area and not letting one piece enter the oil passages. Not worth the effort for 50% more duration of a euro cam, but I'm glad I did it.
